Light in the Darkness

First built in 1855, Bug Light is made of curved cast-iron plates whose seams are disguised by six decorative Corinthian columns. The architect, Thomas U. Walter, also designed the cast-iron dome of the U.S. Capitol.

Its sweet, playful nature stands as guardian against the darkness.
